PINT Publishes HTML & XHTML: The Complete Reference, Fourth Edition

Posted:

PINT again leads the Web community with the fourth edition of its internationally read reference on HTML & XHTML, published by McGraw-Hill/Osborne.

This new edition, retitled HTML & XHTML: The Complete Reference, teaches real world Web markup with an increased focus on standards in use today and the emerging standards of tomorrow. While previous editions presented some aspects of XHTML, their main emphasis was HTML 4. This edition fully explores the future of markup with XHTML, CSS, and XML, rather than outmoded tricks, workarounds and messy table code.

Web page authors who survived the industry downturn now take their trade very seriously, as more sites truly embrace Web standards. The issue has turned from simply being on the Web to how well one is doing it. The fourth edition reference will allow serious Web developers to:

  • Understand the core elements of XHTML, CSS, and Web development;
  • Learn layout and presentation techniques - including multimedia;
  • Study how JavaScript and Server-Side programming can be used to create interactive sites;
  • Learn how to deliver and manage Web sites, handle advanced topics such as XML, and much more.

Once again, PINT has also updated and redesigned their HTML Reference site (www.htmlref.com) to reflect the changes and improvements made to the book itself. The site offers sample chapters in PDF format, online code examples, and an expanded HTML/XHTML and CSS references.
